American Ivy

Parthenocissus quinquefolia is a member of the Vitaceae family and is found in several regions across North America and parts of Europe and Africa. It is commonly called American Ivy and is also known by other names such as Virginia creeper, woodbine, five-leaved ivy, or five-finger. The species was first described in 1887. The plant's distribution includes Newfoundland, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, as well as areas in Europe and Africa.
