Description
Micranthes tolmiei is a perennial herb that grows in alpine and subalpine environments, such as talus and fellfields, from Alaska to California. It forms dense mats with creeping stems and leaves up to 1.5 cm long. The plant's inflorescence is supported by a stout, erect peduncle with bracts. It produces white flowers with narrow petals and petal-like white stamens. The species is distributed across British Columbia, Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Kamchatka. It was published in 2007 under the authorship of Brouillet and Gornall.
