Lilium parvum, known as alpine lily, is a species of lily native to the western United States. It is found in the Sierra Nevada of California, as well as in parts of northwestern Nevada and southwestern Oregon. The plant thrives in high-altitude forest environments and produces flowering stalks during the summer. It was first described in 1862 by Kellogg.

Description

Lilium parvum, or alpine lily, is a member of the Liliaceae family and is native to the mountainous regions of the western U.S. It is primarily found in the Sierra Nevada range in California, with additional populations in northwestern Nevada and southwestern Oregon. This lily grows in high-altitude forest habitats and blooms during the summer months. The species was formally described by Kellogg in 1862.
