Alopecurus gerardii

Alopecurus gerardii (All.) Vill. belongs to the grass family, Poaceae. This species is native to a range of countries in southern and southeastern Europe and the eastern Mediterranean, including Albania, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon-Syria, Spain, Turkey, and Yugoslavia. The species was formally published in 1786. It is part of the genus Alopecurus, which includes various species of grasses commonly referred to as foxtails. The species is characterized by its grass-like morphology typical of the Poaceae family.
