Gonialoe variegata is a member of the Asphodelaceae family and is indigenous to South Africa and Namibia. It is a perennial, evergreen succulent that is commonly found in cultivation. The plant is known by the common names tiger aloe and partridge-breasted aloe. It was formally described in 2014 and is part of the genus Gonialoe.
