Juniperus deppeana, known as Alligator Juniper, is a tree species in the Cupressaceae family. It is native to central and northern Mexico and the southwestern United States, including Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. This species was first described in 1840 by Steud.

Description

Juniperus deppeana is a small to medium-sized tree that can grow up to 10–15 metres tall. It belongs to the genus Juniperus and is part of the Cupressaceae family. Its natural range includes parts of Mexico and the southwestern United States. The species is commonly referred to as Alligator Juniper in English.
