Encephalartos arenarius, known as Alexandria Cycad or dune cycad, is a cycad species in the Zamiaceae family. It is native to the Eastern Cape region of South Africa and was first described in 1955 by R.A. Dyer.

Description

Encephalartos arenarius is a member of the Zamiaceae family and is restricted to the Eastern Cape in South Africa. It is commonly referred to as Alexandria Cycad or dune cycad. The species was formally published in 1955 by R.A. Dyer. Its geographic range is limited to this region, and it is not found outside of South Africa.
