Aiouea neurophylla is a species in the Lauraceae family, native to regions in Central and South America, including Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico Southeast, Mexico Southwest, and Panamá. It was first described by Mez & Pittier and later reclassified by R.Rohde in 2017.

Aiouea neurophylla belongs to the genus Aiouea within the Lauraceae family, a group of aromatic evergreen trees and shrubs. The species is distributed across several countries in Central and South America, specifically in Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico Southeast, Mexico Southwest, and Panamá. The name was published in 2017, following its initial description by Mez & Pittier and subsequent reclassification by R.Rohde.
