Annickia chlorantha is a tree species in the Annonaceae family, growing up to 25 m tall with a diameter at breast height of up to 5 cm. It has elliptic to obovate leaves, 7-28 cm long and 2-9.5 cm wide, with a coriaceous to papyraceous texture. The tree is distributed in regions such as Cabinda, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Liberia, Nigeria, and Zaïre. It is used in traditional medicine for treating malaria and other ailments, with oil derived from its stem bark and leaves being the subject of research. The flowers are bisexual with six perianth parts, and the inflorescences are ramiflorous on young branches. The fruiting pedicel is densely pubescent, and the leaves are pubescent when young, becoming sparsely pubescent with age.
