Tamarix africana, known as African tamarisk, is a tree species in the Tamaricaceae family. It is a self-supporting plant with simple leaves and can reach up to 6.3 m in height. The species was first described in 1789 and is native to regions including the Azores, Açores, and several other islands, as well as parts of Europe such as Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
