Aframomum sulcatum (Oliv. & D.Hanb.) K.Schum. is a plant species in the Zingiberaceae family, native to several West African countries including Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. The species was first described in 1904.

Description

Aframomum sulcatum is a member of the genus Aframomum within the ginger family, Zingiberaceae. It is found in the region known as Guinée forestière, which spans parts of West Africa. The species was originally described by Daniel Oliver and Daniel Hanbury, with the current scientific name established by Karl Moritz Schumann.
