Adenocalymma validum is a species in the Bignoniaceae family, native to several regions in northern and central South America. It is found in Brazil (Amazonas, Northeast, and Southeast), Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, and Suriname. The species was first described in 2014 by L.G. Lohmann, based on earlier work by K.Schum.

Description

Adenocalymma validum is a member of the Bignoniaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the bignonia family. This species has a wide distribution across the northern and central parts of South America. It occurs in the Amazonas region of Brazil, as well as in the Northeast and Southeast of the country. Additionally, it is present in Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, and Suriname. The species was formally described in 2014 by L.G. Lohmann, building upon earlier taxonomic work by K.Schum. Its presence in these regions suggests an adaptation to tropical and subtropical environments typical of the Amazon and surrounding areas.
