Yucca flaccida, known as Adam's needle, is a flowering plant in the Asparagaceae family. It is native to south-central and southeastern North America, including regions from the lower Great Plains to the Atlantic seaboard and south through Florida and the Gulf states. It is found in sandy open woodlands and fields. It is not considered threatened by the IUCN.
Description
Yucca flaccida is a species of flowering plant in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). It is commonly called Adam's needle or weak-leaf yucca. The plant is native to south-central and southeastern North America, ranging from the lower Great Plains eastward to the Atlantic seaboard in Virginia and south through Florida and the Gulf states. It thrives in sandy open woodlands and fields. Yucca flaccida is not considered to be threatened by the IUCN.
