Description
Acystopteris tenuisecta is a member of the Cystopteridaceae family, a group of ferns commonly known as the maidenhair spleenworts. This species is native to a broad range of locations, including Taiwan, Assam, Borneo, parts of China, the East and West Himalayas, Japan, Java, Malaya, the Maluku Islands, Myanmar, Nepal, New Guinea, the Philippines, Sulawesi, Thailand, Tibet, and Vietnam. The species was published in 1938 by Tagawa, based on earlier work by Blume. It is part of the genus Acystopteris, which is characterized by small, delicate ferns often found in moist, shaded environments.
