Description
Actinidia tetramera, described by Maxim. in 1890, is found in North-Central, South-Central, and Southeast China. It belongs to the genus Actinidia and is characterized by its climbing growth habit. The plant's leaves are dark green with distinctive white flashes. As a dioecious species, it requires both male and female plants for fruit production. The fruit develops only on fertilized female plants. The species is known in Mandarin as sìè míhóutáo.
