Ptilotus polystachyus

Ptilotus polystachyus, auch als long tails, Prince of Wales feather, bottle-washers oder long pussy-tails bekannt, ist eine aufrechte, einjährige oder kurzlebige mehrjährige Pflanze aus der Familie der Amarantgewächse (Amaranthaceae). Sie kommt in allen australischen Hauptstaaten und im Northern Territory vor.
Description
Ptilotus polystachyus hat lineare bis schmal elliptische oder lanzettförmige Blätter und zylindrische Ähren mit grünlich gelben oder stumpf purpurbraunen Blüten. Die Pflanze ist in New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia und Western Australia verbreitet. Sie wurde 1868 von F.Muell. beschrieben.
