Plagiothecium denticulatum ist eine Mooseart, die zur Gattung Plagiothecium und zur Familie Plagiotheciaceae gehört. Sie wurde erstmals 1851 wissenschaftlich beschrieben. Das Verbreitungsgebiet der Art erstreckt sich über verschiedene Regionen in Nordamerika, Europa und auf Madeira. Sie kommt beispielsweise in Labrador, Québec, Vermont (USA), Nordnorwegen, Dänemark, Belgien, Flandern, Wallonien, dem Großherzogtum Luxemburg, Südosteuropa und auf der Insel Madeira vor.
