Fothergilla gardenii ist eine Laubsträucherart aus der Familie der Hamamelidaceae. Sie ist eine der beiden Arten der Gattung Fothergilla und kommt ursprünglich aus Georgia, North Carolina und South Carolina. Sie wird auch als dwarf witch-alder bezeichnet.

Fothergilla gardenii, auch als dwarf witch-alder, witch alder, dwarf fothergilla, American wych hazel, pocosin witchalder oder dwarf witchalder bekannt, ist ein Laubstrauch aus der Familie der Hamamelidaceae. Sie gehört zur Gattung Fothergilla und ist eine der beiden Arten innerhalb dieser Gattung. Die Art ist in den US-Bundesstaaten Georgia, North Carolina und South Carolina verbreitet. Die wissenschaftliche Beschreibung wurde 1774 veröffentlicht.
