Description
Coryphantha elephantidens, auch als Elephant's Tooth bekannt, gehört zur Gattung Coryphantha innerhalb der Familie der Cactaceae. Sie kommt in mehreren Regionen Mexikos vor, darunter Zentralmexiko, der Golfküste Mexikos, Nordost-Mexiko und Südwest-Mexiko. Die wissenschaftliche Beschreibung der Art erfolgte 1868. Der Name Coryphantha leitet sich aus dem Griechischen ab und bezieht sich auf die hornartigen Areolen der Pflanze.
